Viewport Cropping

Trim edges off the game picture before it is enlarged to fill your screen. Handy for games that draw a ragged strip of rubbish down one side, or a black band along the top, that the original television would have hidden behind its bezel.

Quick Tips

  • Tap MENU on any row for a short explanation of what it does, and hold MENU instead to slide the menu out of the way and watch the game behind it.

  • Left and right trim one pixel at a time. Hold L2 or R2 to move in steps of 8 when you are removing a wide band.

  • Trimming happens before the picture is enlarged, so a small trim can look surprisingly large once the rest is stretched back out to fill your screen. Go gently and check as you adjust.

  • MustardOS always keeps a little of the picture, so you cannot accidentally trim a game away to nothing.
