Playlists

Wasabi opens local and network playlists as a browser before playback begins. The same entries remain available from the Wasabi Menu while media is running.

Visible Options

Tracks

Audio playlists are presented as Tracks. Playing a single audio file also lists every other audio file in the same folder as Tracks. Chiptune, SID, and game music files that hold several songs list their own songs, then carry on with the next file in the folder. Select an entry to begin playing it.

Episodes

Video playlists are presented as Episodes and keep the current entry highlighted. Playing a single video also lists every other video in the same folder as Episodes.

Channels

Live television and radio playlists are presented as Channels, including channel logos where available.

Resume Last Channel

Opening a live playlist from History returns to the last channel watched when it is still available.

Quick Tips

  • Folder playlists never mix audio and video. Starting a video only lists videos, and starting a track only lists audio.

  • Folder entries are sorted naturally, so Episode 2 comes before Episode 10.

  • Playlist files are inspected by their contents, so a playlist does not have to rely on its filename extension alone.

  • Channel changes reconnect at the live edge of the stream.

  • Channel logos are cached in Wasabi’s save area after they are downloaded.
