Cores

Every published Libretro core in one list, showing what is installed and whether a newer build is ready. Press X to check the current catalogue, then select a core to install, update, or reinstall it.

Visible Options

Update

A newer published build is available. Updated cores are sorted alphabetically at the top of the list so they are easy to find. Press A to download and install the update.

Not Installed

The core is available for this release and is not currently on the device. Press A to download and install it.

Installed

The installed core matches the published build. Press A to reinstall a fresh copy.

Quick Tips

  • Press X whenever you want to refresh the catalogue and check for updates.

  • The list is alphabetical within each state, with updates ahead of installed cores.

  • A network connection is required to check, install, update, or reinstall a core.

  • Cores that belong to Additional Cores are only listed once that setting is enabled in Advanced.
