Shaders

Choose a Pickles shader for the game picture. The browser keeps catalogue actions at the top and sorts folders and files alphabetically without regard to letter case.

Visible Options

Downloads

Fetch the current shader catalogue when a network connection is available. Entries are grouped by creator and report Not Installed, Installed, or Update.

Collection

A short list of shaders you have collected. Each entry references its original path, so updates to the original are reflected here. Remove only removes the Collection reference.

None

Disable the shader. Adjust is hidden while None is selected.

Creator Folders

Built-in, downloaded, and manually added shaders sit in a folder named after their creator. Files inside a deeper folder are not included.

Adjust

Change the parameters supplied by the selected shader and reset them when required. Leaving with changes asks where to save them, the same as any other Pickles setting.

Quick Tips

  • Use Collect on an original item to place it in Collection.

  • Pickles shaders use a different format from RetroArch shaders.
