The MustardOS Crew
⭐ Commanders
XongleBongle
The lead developer behind MustardOS. The driving force responsible for shaping the project into what it is today. A cranky passionate and enthusiastic retro game player and collector, they are rarely far from either a handheld device or a new idea to increase boot times improve the system.
Known for owning far too many handhelds and maintaining a healthy appreciation for a good shitpost. Spends an unreasonable amount of time refining, tweaking, and optimising things that technically already worked fine because "working" is never quite good enough.
Tries to make tiny Linux devices do slightly more than they probably should.
antiKk
A passionate contributor to MustardOS! Known for diving deep into the details and pushing for things to work exactly as they should. A proud adventure gamer, they spend a significant amount of time making sure classic point and click titles feel right at home on handheld devices.
A critic of the so-called "8:7 CRT" mythology and never shy about sharing those opinions. Much of their work goes into refining RetroArch controls and relentlessly optimising ScummVM to run as smoothly as possible.
Also loves coffee and running, but not at the same time.
Corey
One of the earliest supporters of MustardOS. Expanding the capabilities by adding additional emulator support (eww N64...) and helping ensure a wider range of systems run as best can be.
With a keen eye for handheld hardware, he frequently dives into the technical side of things figuring out what it takes to bring MustardOS to new devices.
Loves a good challenge, especially rotated screens!
Bitter Bizarro (GrumpyGopher)
An absolute one of a kind champion who pours a tremendous amount of time and energy into the MustardOS theme engine and the frontend itself. Always experimenting, refining, and improving, plays a huge role in shaping how MustardOS looks and feels for everyone who uses it.
Knows their way around good ol' C code and has delivered many amazing features. Passionate about seeing MustardOS grow into a truly formidable custom firmware.
Totally enjoys fixing XongleBongle's mishaps!
🧰 Enforcers
acmeplus
The lead developer of Knulli. A highly respected developer in the handheld scene and a consistently helpful presence.
Always eager to experiment knowing quirks and complexities of some of the more esoteric of devices. Absolute invaluable knowledge tank of low level challenges that come with developing custom firmware.
An absolute true hardware wizard.
bgelmini (Bagel)
Known for their mysterious cycles of activity (may disappear for months at a time), only to casually reappear in the community as if they never left. When they do return, they quickly remind everyone that they know their way around MustardOS inside and out.
Whether it's answering tricky questions or providing thoughtful insights, their contributions are always welcome and surprisingly timely.
Plays the saxophone like a boss!
ilfordhp5 (Casey)
A long-standing presence in the MustardOS community whose exact origin no one can quite explain. Has been around since the early days when XongleBongle was enthusiastically spamming the CFW across every corner of the retro handheld scene, and somehow never left.
Their primary role appears to be occupying space, reacting to conversations with GIFs, and maintaining a mysterious level of persistence that nobody really questions.
Constantly disappoints antiKk...
duncanyoyo1
A passionate MustardOS evangelist and strong advocate for open source software. As the primary curator of RetroArch core builds, they help ensure that emulation remains reliable and in tip-top shape.
Has a deep appreciation for computers and video game history, they also carry a special love for crisp sharp pixels. Whether troubleshooting issues, sharing knowledge, or guiding others through technical hurdles, he's always willing to lend a hand.
Tries hard to always be kind and has endless patience.
delibirb77
Resident Pokémon enthusiast and firm believer that Gen 1–5 was absolute peak Pokémon. Longtime MustardOS helper and proud member of the Gengar appreciation society. Avid badminton player with quick reflexes both on the court and in the help channels.
Always keen to help people learn, grow, and untangle whatever technical chaos they wandered into. Friendly, reliable, and usually just one ping away!
Seriously, ping them or they'll probably miss your message!
