Play Styles

Explains the different play style classifications used by the Activity Tracker. Play styles are calculated from usage patterns such as session length, frequency, consistency, and diversity. Some styles apply to individual content, while others summarise overall behaviour across the entire tracked sessions.

Visible Options

One and Done (Content)

Played only once with a very short total play time, with no return sessions.

Sampler (Content)

Launched multiple times but never held attention long enough to build meaningful total play time.

Short Bursts (Content)

Defined by many very short sessions, often launched briefly and exited quickly.

Long Sessions (Content)

Played less frequently, but sessions tend to be long and uninterrupted.

Completionist (Content)

Long sessions with a high total time investment, indicating a possible completion.

Abandoned (Content)

Tried briefly and then dropped early, with little to no continued play.

Marathoner (Content)

Extremely high total play time accumulated through repeated or extended sessions.

Returner (Content)

Frequently revisited, but usually in shorter or lower commitment like sessions.

On and Off (Content)

An inconsistent play pattern, alternating between periods of activity and inactivity.

Weekend Warrior (Content)

Played infrequently, but typically in very long sessions when it is played.

Regular Play (Content)

Balanced and consistent play sessions without extreme short bursts or marathons.

Comfort Game (Content)

Regularly revisited content that provides steady enjoyment and familiar engagement.

Casual (Overview)

Low overall engagement, with short sessions and limited total play time.

Core Gamer (Overview)

Regular and consistent engagement forming a stable and ongoing play habit.

Explorer (Overview)

Samples many different titles with light commitment, favouring variety over depth.

Binger (Overview)

Characterised by long average session times and extended play periods.

Completionist (Overview)

Deep focus on a smaller number of titles with significant total time investment.

Power Player (Overview)

Heavy usage across many systems, cores, or titles, indicating intensive overall use.

Content Collector (Overview)

Engages with many different titles, typically through short or exploratory sessions.

Specialist (Overview)

Focused primarily on a small set of cores, emulators, or systems.

Plays across multiple devices, frequently switching between supported hardware.
