Proxy Settings

The Proxy Settings module configures a network proxy for outbound connections that support one, such as system updates and web based services. Choose a scheme, provide the server address, and list any hosts that should bypass the proxy entirely.

Press A on Test after saving to confirm the proxy is reachable before relying on it.

Visible Options

Proxy Enabled

Turns the configured proxy on or off. When enabled, applicable network traffic is routed through the server below; when disabled, connections are made directly as normal.

Proxy Type

Selects the proxy scheme to use: http://, https://, or socks5://. Must match the type expected by your proxy server.

Proxy Server

The address and port of the proxy server, for example 192.168.0.5:8080. Combined with the Proxy Type to form the complete proxy URL.

No Proxy

A comma separated list of hosts and addresses that should bypass the proxy and connect directly, such as localhost,127.0.0.1,::1.

Test Proxy

Sends a test request through the configured proxy and reports the resulting HTTP status code, letting you confirm it is reachable before saving.

Quick Tips

  • Saving with the proxy set to Enabled will prompt you to reboot the device so the new settings take effect system-wide.
