Network Play

Play the same game together with someone else, either across your own home network or over the internet. One person hosts and the other joins. Both devices need matching content, core, and emulation options.

Choose Host Network if you are the one setting the game up, or Join Network if a friend has already started one and is waiting for you.

Host Network

Set up a session for someone else to join. Everything your friend needs to reach you is shown once it is running.

Join Network

Connect to a session someone else has already started, either by picking it from a list of nearby games or by typing in the address they gave you.

Status

Shows discovery, secure pairing, compatibility checks, connection progress, and the current session state.

Disconnect

Leave the session and return both the core and Pickles controls to normal play.

Quick Tips

  • Both players need the same game file. If one copy is even slightly different, the two games will drift out of step with each other.

  • Playing across the same home network is always smoother than playing over the internet, so use Find LAN Sessions when you are both in the same house.

  • Achievements in Hardcore mode are paused while you are playing together, because progress is being shared between two people.
