A detailed reference for the Overlay section of Pickles Settings. Use a repeating built-in pattern or downloaded artwork, then position it independently from the game viewport.

Overlay Image Overlay Adjustment Overlay Cropping

Visible Options

Overlay

Choose Disabled, Built-In Pattern, or Downloaded. Press X on this row to turn the overlay off.

Built-In Pattern

Choose a checkerboard, diagonal, lattice, horizontal, or vertical pattern and its available thickness.

Overlay Image

Choose Downloads, Collection, None, or an item inside a creator folder one level deep. Items are sorted alphabetically without regard to letter case. Press X on this row to turn the overlay off.

Overlay Opacity

Set how strongly the overlay appears over the game picture.

Adjustment

Move, stretch, and zoom the overlay without changing the game viewport.

Cropping

Trim the top, bottom, left, or right edge, or apply a centred crop.

Reset Overlay

Restore the overlay position, size, crop, and opacity defaults.

Quick Tips

  • Download entries report Not Installed, Installed, or Update and are grouped by creator.

  • Collection stores the path of the original item. Updating the original also updates the collected entry.
