Input Remap

Remap the physical buttons and sticks on a connected controller to different in-game inputs, independently of the device's built-in default mapping.

Highlight a button and press A to capture the next physical input you press, X to clear an individual mapping, or Y to reset everything back to the currently saved layout. Use L1/R1 to page through the button list, and switch between the Retro and Modern layouts, each stored and applied independently, from the Active Layout row below.

Quick Tips

  • The DPAD and both A and B are always kept mapped to something. If a capture would leave one of them completely unassigned, the device’s own default physical input for it is restored automatically on save so you cannot lock yourself out of the frontend.
